Paul Apostle Of Christ
$21.25His Story Will Change the World, But Only If It’s Shared in Time
Paul, Apostle of Christ is the story of two men. Luke, as a friend and physician, risks his life every time he ventures into the city of Rome to visit Paul, who is held captive in Nero’s bleakest prison cell. Before Paul’s execution, Luke resolves to write another book, one that details the beginnings of “the Way” and the birth of what will come to be known as the church. But Nero is determined to rid Rome of Christians.
Paul has survived so much–floggings, shipwreck, starvation, stoning, hunger and thirst, cold and exposure–yet as he waits for his appointment with death, he is haunted by the shadows of his past. He wonders if he has been forgotten . . . and if he has the strength to finish well.
Two men struggle against a determined emperor and the frailties of the human spirit in order to bequeath the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world.

Life And Death Of Mr Badman Updated Modern English

Kingstone Bible Volume 1
$24.99Kingstone Bible Volume 1 is a graphic novel adaptation of the Word of God. It is the first of three volumes. The first volume of the Kingstone Bible covers the time of history before the life of Jesus; many of these Old Testament stories foreshadow Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. In the Garden of Eden, an animal is killed, and the skin is used to cover over the sins of the first humans. (Jesus will later be an eternal sacrifice to cover over the sins of man.) God directs Abraham to offer his son as a sacrifice but at the last moment provides another sacrifice. (With Jesus, He is the sacrifice that God gives on the cross.) Moses leads the people out of Egypt and directs them to cover the doorposts with blood so death will not reach them. (In Jesus, our lives are covered with His blood and eternal death does not reach us.) Moses tells of another great prophet, Jesus, who will come later to Israel.
The Kingstone Bible Volume 1 covers the time of history before Jesus but all leading up to the magnificent story of Jesus. In the first volume of this graphic novel series, we see the epic greatness of creation, the fall of man and the Tower of Babel. We see and learn of a great flood through the story of Noah and the Ark. We learn how God establishes the nation of Israel through Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph. Moses leads the people of Israel through the Red Sea and to the Promised Land. There is the time of the judges of Israel as well as Ruth and Samuel. King David then rises to power and begins to lead the people of God and the nation of Israel. The nation of Israel is the chosen nation through which Jesus will come.
Volume 1 is the first in a trilogy of graphic novels that seeks to capture the epic greatness of God and the rich goodness of his gracious dealings with mankind.
Kingstone Comics places Scripture references at the bottom of the pages for direct references to the Bible, and we encourage all of our graphic novel readers to read the Bible story for themselves because God has much to teach us.

Behold The Man
$17.99Behold the Man is the culmination of the Jerusalem Chronicles and brings readers to an encounter with the death and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth. How could Jesus-who preached righteousness before God, and love and mercy toward neighbors-be so hated and pursued? To the Temple officials, he was a threat to the livelihood and authority of the priesthood. To Herod Antipas, he was a threat to his ambition to be the King of the Jews. And to the Roman overlords, he was seen as a dangerous threat; a man who commanded an army of the common people. He could heal wounds, offer miraculous provisions, and even raise from the dead. If Jesus had accepted popular acclaim and become an earthly king, he would have been unstoppable. Jesus’s last days are explored through three people who interacted with him: Governor Pilate, for whom Judea will either make or break his career; Pilate’s wife, Claudia, desperately seeking aid for her much loved, crippled son; and Centurion Marcus Longinus, caught in the middle between loyalty to the Empire, love for Claudia, and an ever-increasing belief in Jesus as the Son of God. After encountering Jesus, none of them will ever be the same.

John : His Gospel And The Revelation
$12.43By the author of Our First Ten Days, Treasures Found in Passing, and numerous other books, here is a small pioneering piece about the historic life and work of the Apostle John. Of course we look upon John as a Christian saint, but we also see him as much more than this. We see him standing tall as a cultural giant in his time, skillfully moving within the scope of Hebrew tradition, Roman law, and Greek philosophy, all the way to old age, and escaping martyrdom by the mere power of his manhood. We view him as a man of both profound faith and superior intelligence, a quiet man, learned in philosophy, a student of history, and a master in the art of communication.
Youngest and brightest of the Twelve, we believe this Apostle lived and served to become the oldest and most accomplished. He would, we are saying, put pen to papyrus and write two of our most significant New Testament books, each to be a blockbuster when done. Exciting is the story: Why did this Apostle write each of these, under what condition, and with what result?
He would deeply ponder the two most pressing questions of that century, one dating from six centuries before and the other originating within his own generation, the ancient one an issue in philosophy, the newer one an issue of Christian faith. Thinking deeply into these, this remarkable man would find that each answered the other, and so in his Gospel would solve both with a single pen stroke. This we know for sure. Sadly, though, the lifetime career of this Apostle was somewhere lost along the stream of history, leaving to us only the power to imagine.

Strangers Son : A Novel
$12.00Just who is Father anyway? he wondered. Why did God choose him? What will become of our family? Will life be always like this? For Gershom, a twelve-year-old boy in Bible-times Egypt, being the son of a leader isn’t the big deal one might think it is. For one, his dad keeps leaving his mom, his brother, and him to go on long trips away from home. Meanwhile, Gershom is stuck trying to figure out how to be a godly young man among people who are bitterly trapped in slavery. Even worse, his very own aunt-the one his father adores-and his cousins make his mother and him feel like unwanted outsiders. And then there are those nagging questions about who his father is and why God selected him for this special mission. Join Gershom and his family on a vivid journey across an arid desert, up close to a glistening palace, and onward to a burning mountain as they follow his father’s calling from God. When Gershom experiences emotions such as fear, resentment, family pride, and joyfulness, you will recognize how his exciting story mirrors much of what you go through today. Most importantly, you will see what it might have been like to witness the events from the Bible’s book of Exodus through Gershom’s clever eyes. When the answers to Gershom’s questions are finally revealed, you will have a whole new appreciation for what it meant to be Moses’ child – “The Stranger’s Son.”

Iscariot : A Novel Of Judas
$17.99Acclaimed New York Times bestselling author Tosca Lee brilliantly adapts the life of Judas Iscariot into a dazzling work of fiction-humanizing the man whose very name is synonymous with betrayal.
Based on extensive research into the life and times of Judas Iscariot, this triumph of fiction storytelling by the author of Havah: The Story of Eve revisits one of biblical history’s most maligned figures and brings the world he inhabited vividly to life.
In Jesus, Judas believes he has found the One-the promised Messiah and future king of the Jews, destined to overthrow Roman rule. Galvanized, he joins the Nazarene’s followers, ready to enact the change he has waited for all his life. But soon Judas’s vision of a nation free from Rome is crushed by the inexplicable actions of the Nazarene himself, who will not bow to social or religious convention-who seems, in the end, to even turn against his own people. At last, Judas must confront the fact that the master he loves is not the liberator he hoped for, but a man bent on a drastically different agenda.
Iscariot is the story of Judas, from his tumultuous childhood to his emergence as the man known to the world as the betrayer of Jesus. But even more, it is a singular and surprising view into the life of Jesus that forces us to reexamine everything we thought we knew about the most famous-and infamous-religious icons in history.

When Jesus Wept
$16.99Lazarus occupies a surprising position in the Gospel accounts. Widely known as the man Jesus raised from the dead, his story is actually much broader and richer than that. Living as he did at Bethany, near Jerusalem, Lazarus was uniquely placed to witness the swirl of events around Jesus. When Jesus Wept, the first novel in The Jerusalem Chronicles series by bestselling authors Bodie and Brock Thoene, unfolds the turbulent times in Judea during Jesus’ ministry, centering on the friendship between Jesus and Lazarus. With rich insights from vineyard owners and vine dressers, the Thoenes explore the metaphor of Jesus as the True Vine, harvesting the ancient secrets found in the Old Testament. Weaving the life of Lazarus, who owned a vineyard, into the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ will help you understand it is the hand of Love Divine that holds the knife, that cuts and breaks with such tender and loving touch, and that we who have born some fruit, after the pruning, can bear much more.

I Have Grown In His Love
$50.65One method of enjoying reading the Bible is to live the events as one reads them by becoming an observer or a participant in those events. In this novel, the author became “James,” the lad who was carrying five loaves of bread and two fish which Jesus blessed to feed over five thousand people. From that perspective, he followed James’s growth in love of Jesus Christ. Through listening to Jesus’ teachings, observing His miraculous deeds, following Him on the way to the cross, and hearing the news of His resurrection from the dead, James developed his understanding of who Jesus is. First, he thought of Him as a prophet, the Messiah, and finally he believed that He is the Son of God. At a mature age, James wrote his memoirs, from the first time he met Jesus, to the time he was preparing to leave on his first missionary trip to preach the Way. Although the miracle of feeding the crowd happened almost one year before Jesus was crucified and resurrected, the novel is developed to present to the reader other important events that happened prior to that miracle. Prophecies of the Old Testament were incorporated in the body of the story as they were being fulfilled. The Bible events in the novel are real. James is an imaginary figure whom the author followed in his growth in the love and knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Giants In The Earth
$15.99“There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them…” Gen. 6:4 (KJV) It didn’t take long after creation before Satan, in his jealousy toward the newly created humans, found a way to manipulate them into trading perfection for the death that comes through sin. But God still loved them anyway. Satan vowed to find a way to destroy them himself, so he charged one of his most devious minions, Azazel, with two tasks to reach his goal. He was to teach the humans war and corrupt the human bloodlines. This led to the birth of the Nephilim; giants who were to wreak havoc on the people of the earth. Standing in his way was Enoch, a man who “walked with God.” When Azazel devises a plan to kill him, he discovers that he is up against an obstacle even larger than his giant sons; the immovable faith of Enoch and his son, Methuselah. With the help of the Creator and a few giant friends of their own, they are able to triumph over colossal evil in this action-packed adventure set during the pre-flood era of the earth.

Healings : Three Stories Of Miraculous Healing From Scripture
$30.65I have always wondered why the Bible does not give names to certain of its characters. Scripture would stress “a certain man” instead of naming the man, or not give names to the people the Lord Jesus healed. It is noted that some names were of importance to the stories, while others only needed to be acknowledged as those who were healed.
For instance, Naaman the Syrian leper had an unnamed wife. The nameless leper who was healed (along with nine other men) returned to say thanks to Jesus for his miraculous healing. We know that nothing is said about him after his healing. There is also the man healed beside the pool at Bethesda by Jesus and, again, what happened to him after the priests and scribes questioned his healing on the Sabbath?
Hence, in the first story, Naaman’s wife and her little maid now have names and a history. In the second story, I continued the leper’s story as he relates it years later to his daughter-in-law. The third story gives a bit more insight to the character of the man who was healed by Jesus at the Pool of Bethzatha.

Donkey Who Carried A King
$19.00The biblical teaching that Jesus was the Suffering Servant who carried the sins of His people when He went to the cross is vividly brought home to children in The Donkey Who Carried a King, the latest children’s book from respected theologian, author, and educator Dr. R.C. Sproul.
Davey was a young donkey who was bored and unhappy because he was never given anything to do. Then one day, some strangers came to the gate-and Davey’s master picked him for a very special task. Davey carried the King, Jesus, into Jerusalem. A few days later, Davey saw some angry people making the King carry a heavy beam of wood. Davey could not understand it-until another donkey helped him see that the King was being a Servant on behalf of His people.
The Donkey Who Carried a King offers a unique perspective on the events of Jesus’ Passion Week and calls all believers, both young and old, to follow in the footsteps of the Suffering Servant for the glory of God. Jesus was willing to leave the glories of heaven to suffer and die in this world on our behalf, so we should serve Him with all our hearts.

Martha : A Novel
$21.25Perhaps one of the most misunderstood and misrepresented characters of the New Testament is Martha. Often painted in the colors of reproach, Martha seems to be the poster child for how not to be a follower of Jesus. From the mind of Diana Wallis Taylor comes this touching, well-researched portrayal of Martha of Bethany, sister of Mary and Lazarus. Through Taylor’s lush descriptions and inspired combination of imagined and recorded dialogue, Martha’s world–her trials, triumphs, and loves–vibrantly comes to life. Follow Martha as she is jilted by her betrothed, falls in love with a Roman soldier, grieves the death of her father, cares for her siblings, and serves her Lord with dignity and grace. Readers will never read the biblical story of Martha the same way again.

Bathsheba : A Novel (Reprinted)
$20.00Bathsheba is a woman who longs for love. With her devout husband away fighting the king’s wars for many months at a time, discontent and loneliness dog her steps–and make it frighteningly easy to succumb to King David’s charm and attention. Though she immediately regrets her involvement with the powerful king, the pieces are set in motion that will destroy everything she holds dear. Can she find forgiveness at the feet of the Almighty? Or has her sin separated her from God–and David–forever?
With a historian’s sharp eye for detail and a novelist’s creative spirit, Jill Eileen Smith brings to life the passionate and emotional story of David’s most famous–and infamous–wife. Smith uses her gentle hand to draw out the humanity in her characters, allowing readers to see themselves in the three-dimensional lives and minds of people who are often viewed in starkly moralistic terms. You will never read the story of David and Bathsheba in the same way again.
