  • Triumph Of The Rising

    $14.99

New book series from bestselling author John MacArthur on the great chapters of the Bible

Taken from the MacArthur New Testament Commentary on 1 Corinthians, this book equips believers with transforming truth by explaining Paul’s treatment of the doctrine of the resurrection. Chapters include:

    *The Evidence for Christ’s Resurrection
    *The Importance of Bodily Resurrection
    *The Resurrection Plan
    *Resurrection Incentives
    *Our Resurrection Bodies
    *Victory Over Death

In 1 Corinthians 15, Paul delivers the most extensive treatment of the resurrection in all of Scripture. As the heart pumps life-giving blood to every part of the body, so the truth of the resurrection gives life to every area of gospel truth.

The resurrection is the pivot on which all of Christianity turns and without which none of the other truths would much matter. Without the resurrection of Jesus Christ, Christianity would be mere wishful thinking, taking its place alongside all other systems of human philosophy and religious speculation. Paul, however, declares that Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, therefore all who are in Christ Jesus will also be raised to life.

  • Jonah And Nahum

    $30.00

A new verse-by-verse expository Bible commentary series from bestselling author, John MacArthur.

The MacArthur Old Testament Commentary Series

*Explains the Scripture word by word
*Is true to the approach of expository preaching
*Is based on thorough exegesis in the original languages
*Presents the meaning and theology of the text with accuracy, precision, and clarity

This volume of the MacArthur Old Testament Commentary Series (MOTC) explains the prophetic books of Jonah and Nahum. Designed to aid the preacher, this commentary is also intended to be read and applied by every believer for personal edification, blessing, and joy.

The book of Jonah demonstrates that Yahweh is the Savior of both Jews and Gentiles. Instead of immediately destroying the Ninevites for their wickedness, God raised up Jonah to proclaim God’s grace to them.

The Lord affirmed that He holds the sovereign prerogative to show compassion on whomever He wishes and to deliver those who repent. This wondrous grace of God culminates in the One who fulfilled the sign of Jonah and accomplished salvation for all who acknowledge their unworthiness, repent of their sin, and believe in Him. Thus, the book of Jonah points to the work of Christ and displays the heart of God to seek and save the lost.

In a sequel to the story, over a hundred years after Jonah preached to Nineveh, God raised up Nahum to pronounce judgment on the Ninevites.

While the Ninevites in Jonah’s day repented and received mercy, later generations returned to their wicked ways and became objects of God’s wrath. To those who presumed on God’s kindness, Nahum declared that the God who is gracious is also righteous and just.

Ultimately, God’s promise to destroy Nineveh comforted Israel and provided hope to all His people that He will keep His Word, both to preserve the righteous and to punish the wicked.

  • Zechariah

    $34.99

The MacArthur Old Testament Commentary Series

*Explains the Scripture word by word
*Is true to the approach of expository preaching
*Is based on thorough exegesis in the original languages
*Presents the meaning and theology of the text with accuracy, precision, and clarity

This volume of the MacArthur Old Testament Commentary Series (MOTC) explains the prophetic book of Zechariah. Designed to aid the preacher, this commentary is also intended to be read and applied by every believer for personal edification, blessing, and joy.

No eschatology is complete or true which does not embrace the prophecy of Zechariah. Written to comfort Israel after the remnant’s return from Babylon, Zechariah’s message assured the Israelites that the Lord had not abandoned His people.

Filled with visions, prophecies, signs, and vivid imagery, this revelation traces the flow of history to its climax when Christ will reign over the earth from His throne in Jerusalem. Zechariah predicted the coming of Alexander the Great, the Roman destruction of Jerusalem, the tyranny of the Antichrist, the battle of Armageddon, and the millennial reign of Christ.

The Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ, is the primary figure in Zechariah’s revelation. Zechariah predicted Christ’s entry into Jerusalem on a donkey, His betrayal for thirty pieces of silver, and His sacrificial death. Zechariah also revealed Christ’s future return to the Mount of Olives and the establishment of His kingdom over the earth. At that time, Israel will turn to God, and the Lord will say, “They are My people,” and Israel will respond, “Yahweh is my God” (Zech 13:9); and so “all Israel will be saved” (Rom 11:26).

History will then reach its climactic point and “Yahweh will be king over all the earth; in that day Yahweh will be the only one, and His name one” (Zech 14:9).

In the twelve studies within, join John MacArthur on an exploration of this “weeping prophet”–so called because of the grief he expressed for his people–and the prophecies he faithfully related to them for more than fifty years. From master-expositor and Bible teacher John MacArthur, a revelatory exploration of what the apostle Paul actually taught about the good news of Jesus. Now in trade paper.

The apostle Paul penned a number of important passages in his letters to the early church that summarize the gospel message in just a few well-chosen words. Each of these key texts has a unique emphasis highlighting some essential aspect of the good News. The chapters in this remarkable new book closely examine those vital gospel texts, one verse at a time. John MacArthur, host of the popular media ministry Grace to You, president of the Master’s College and Seminary, and longtime pastor at Grace Community Church, tackles such questions as: What is the gospel? What are the essential elements of the message? How can we be certain we have it right? And how should Christians be proclaiming the good news to the world? As always, the answers John MacArthur gives are clear, compelling, well-reasoned, easy to grasp, and above all, thoroughly biblical. The Gospel According to Paul, which follows in the tradition of MacArthur’s bestsellers The Gospel According to Jesus and The Gospel According to the Apostles, is written in a style that is easily accessible to everyone, including those who know very little about the Bible, while being of great value to seasoned pastors and experienced ministers. • Prodigal Son Study Guide (Student/Study Guide)

    $14.99

Nearly two thousand years ago, Jesus told a simple parable about a father and his two sons. It was a story of rebellion, repentance, and unfathomable grace. This parable of the prodigal son stands out because it presents, in clear and inspiring terms, our struggle with sin, our need for repentance, and the Father’s inexhaustible mercy and love for us. Even those who know next to nothing else about the Bible know something about this tale. In this study, John MacArthur provides fascinating new insights into this parable and explores why so many of us recognize ourselves in its narrative. For believers, the prodigal son is a humbling reminder of who we are and how much we owe to God’s grace. For those who are conscious of their guilt but unrepentant, the prodigal’s life is a searing reminder of the wages of sin, the duty of the sinner to repent, and the goodness of God. For sinners coming to repentance, the father’s eager welcome and costly generosities are reminders that God’s grace and goodness are inexhaustible. For all of us, the elder brother’s attitude is a powerful warning that reveals how easily unbelief can masquerade as faithfulness. This five-session video-based study includes re-enacted vignettes from the parable with accompanying teaching from John MacArthur. With this study, experienced and new group leaders alike will be equipped to lead a life-changing study for their group members.

  • Hebrews : Christ Perfect Sacrifice Perfect Priest

    $12.99

In the midst of persecution and rejection, the Jewish believers, who had come from a background of legalism and works, were tempted to hold onto symbols, rituals, and traditions that were grounded in the requirements of the Old Covenant. Then God came to earth in human flesh as the New Covenant, and these believers discovered the freedom they could have in Jesus and the relationship they could have with their Savior. The book of Hebrews, by an unknown writer, contrasts the Old and New Covenant and brilliantly shows that Christ is higher than any Old Testament character, priest, ritual, or sacrifice. Because of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection, He is the perfect sacrifice and our own High Priest. He has given all believers unfettered access to God. The apostle James, the oldest half-brother of Jesus, was a key leader in the Jerusalem church. During the early days of the young church, the Jewish believers had been scattered by persecution. Out of compassion, James wrote this epistle to confront them and motivate them to test the quality and consistency of their faith. In this short and powerful book, James gives us practical guidance on issues that also measure our true and living faith and our spiritual fruitfulness. He encourages us to “be doers of the word, and not hearers only,” to “draw near to God,” and “to be patient . . . until the coming of the Lord” (James 1:22; 4:8; 5:7). James calls all believers-then and now-to live a life that demonstrates saving faith marked by godly behavior.

In the face of false teaching about Jesus, John takes a direct approach. But he doesn’t let believers off the hook without an examination of their own lives. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). John was not alone in his concern about the influence of false teachers in the early church. Jude, a half-brother of Christ, also wrote to the early believers. His letter firmly warns us against defecting from true biblical faith, urges all believers to fight for truth, and encourages us to stand firm in spite of intense spiritual warfare. • 1-2 Thessalonians And Titus

    $12.99

Like a tender shepherd, Paul wrote the letters of 1 & 2 Thessalonians to the church he founded in Thessalonica, a huge city in Macedonia. These were friends he knew, loved, and missed. His purpose in writing was to thank them for their work of faith, their labor of love, and their continued hope in the Lord Jesus Christ . . . and His coming again. Paul was also eager to remind them of the example their faithfulness had been to those around them. Similarly, Paul’s letter to Titus-a young pastor in Crete-is filled with personal affirmation, counsel, and guidance on how to prepare church leaders for effective evangelism. Paul wrote this letter so Titus could “set in order the things that are lacking” and “speak the things which are proper for sound doctrine” (Titus 1:5; 2:1). These letters of instruction are as inspirational for us today as they were for these first-century Christ followers. Paul’s gentle encouragement in these letters challenges Timothy to persevere in his faith-a faith that might have been weakening under the pressure of the church and the persecution of the world.
