    • Woman Thy Name Is

      $20.61

Woman, Thy Name Is…is the culmination of a journey into finding truth and purpose in the kingdom of God. Dr. Embry hits head-on the prejudices that have kept women from taking their God-given places in ministry, and she takes a hard look at what caused those prejudices to develop in the first place. She desires to show women that they are called of God just as surely and completely as men are, and that being a woman in ministry is not the result of God settling for second best.

    • Did God Really Say That

      $34.98

Did God Really Say That? Satan’s actual words (
      as recorded in Genesis 3:1)
were “Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not…?” Our enemy, Satan, “more subtle
than any beast of the field” is a clever deceiver!
The author recognizes that God’s Word has not changed from the beginning.
Satan continues his deceptions. His great tool of our age is the lie of evolution.
This book challenges that lie, and explains to readers that the foundations of
the Christian faith, beginning with the creation, still stand. The author writes
in an enjoyable style and includes Scripture passages within the text to
effectively explain how one’s belief regarding origins affects our daily
      lives six thousand years later.
This book is written for all Christians, and for Jews who want to learn how
science fits with the fact that God created everything from nothing in six days,
as God inspired Moses to record. Christians and Jews worship the same
Creator God, and the Jews are part of God’s master plan. Our Jewish friends
might be interested in why Christians accept Jesus Christ as the Messiah.

Charles Hodge is a prolific and frequently quoted writer. From his church bulletin to his books, the things Hodge has to say are on target with what is happening among believers today. His wit allows him to speak with compassionate power.

Amazing Grace! is the lastest and perhaps best example of Hodge’s ability to focus on a need and to address it with practical insights from Scripture.

Avoiding legalism on the one hand and “cheap grace” on the other, this book pleads for a sound doctrine. This doctrine must be primary in the preaching of the gospel, for the gospel is the message of God’s free and gracious gift of eternal life in Jesus.

    • Eli

      $7.99

What If Jesus Had Not Come Until Today? Who Would Follow Him? Who Would Kill Him? A fiery car crash hurls TV journalist Conrad Davis into another world exactly like ours except for one detail, Jesus Christ did not come 2,000 years ago, but today. Starting with angels heralding a birth in the back of a motel laundry room, the skeptical Davis watches the gospel unfold in today’s society as a Messiah in T-shirt and blue jeans heals, raises people from the dead, and speaks such startling truth that he captures the heart of a nation. But the young mans actions and his criticism of the religious establishment earn him enemies as ruthless as they are powerful. An intense and thought-provoking novel, Eli strips away religious tradition to present Jesus fresh and unvarnished. With gripping immediacy, Bill Myers weaves a story whose truth will refresh your faith.

      $22.48

In the future small bands of Christians will live in oppression under a One World Government that forces the beliefs of a New Age religion. As the world discards biblical principles and spreads a belief in reincarnation, human life is devalued and led into selfishness, suicide, abortion for profit, and euthanasia for convenience. Bodies become commodities as the very young and old are bought and sold. Survival of the richest and the fittest becomes truth to each person believing themselves to be god. For generations the Williams family had lived for the Lord. Now their beliefs are tested as their lives and the lives of their children plunge to the depths of evil and immerse them in their very own Sodom and Gomorrah.

The trilogy started with The Rose of Sodom, then The Gates of Gomorrah, the sequel to The Rose of Sodom. Katie will finish with The Promise of Gethsemane.

      $20.00

      14 Chapters

      Additional Info
Readers who effectively discern God’s Word speaking in Scripture to today’s world distinguish between the cultural circumstances of origin of the biblical writings and their abiding message. This new book by distinguished biblical scholar Edgar McKnight begins by dealing with the reality, necessity, and value of the completely human nature of the Bible. After discussions of the specific geographical and historical setting of the Bible and the contribution of archaeology, consideration is given to the major themes and translations of the Bible, the formation of the canon, and the language and literary means of expounding the message. The final chapter deals with the credulous, critical, and creative readings of the Bible that are possible and even necessary in light of its character as Word of God in historical and literary form

      $16.18

I found Nine Changed Lives to be an intriguing series of Easter season monologues. Each met me on a personal level and pointed me to Christ. Their unique format enables a great deal of flexibility for their presentation.

    • Susannah : A Tale Of The Christ

      $20.61

My novel is historical, woven around the life of Christ, some of His disciples, and a little of John the Baptist. Susanna, the title character, was one of the faithful women in Scripture who followed Him and contributed to His support. In the novel, she is one of the ones He healed, thus enabling her to marry Jacob, her Jewish fiance. Jacob is a wholesale merchant and travels frequently. After he and Susanna are married, they occasionally see the Lord, the Rabbi Jeshua. They also come to know Mary, the Lord’s mother, and learn the vital details of His birth and conception. Follow Jacob as he travels to India to buy jewels for Herod Philip II and meets one of the magi, who saw the Lord at birth. Journey with Susanna as she and other women accompany Christ and His disciples, encountering the hostility of the Jewish high priests and Pharisees and witnessing many of His miracles. She also witnesses Jesus’ crucifixion, after which she is reunited with Jacob and they both see the Lord after His resurrection. I go from the deep disappointment and horror of the crucifixion to the glory and the richness of the coming of the Spirit.

    • Spiritual Entrophy : Life Changing Insights Revealed By A Unique Natural La

      $19.36

“Entropy” is a word scientists use to describe the observed influences of an obscure-sounding natural law called the “second law of thermodynamics”-more popularly the “entropy law.” Far from being obscure, however, this unique law has an extensive impact on our lives. Spiritual Entropy begins by explaining, using common everyday experiences, the concept of entropy and its pervasive influences. But while other books have considered particular aspects of entropy, none has extended its concepts and developed its implications as this book has. It goes after answers to some of the ultimate questions of our existence. In addition to the physical, it explores what entropy may be able to reveal to us about the social, the moral, and the spiritual. It dares to ask, what can entropy tell us about God? Here are a few other intriguing questions this book explores: What does entropy have to contribute to the controversial debate about origins and “intelligent design”? How can an individual overcome “ethical entropy” in his or her own life? How does entropy correspond with the teachings of the world’s religious scriptures, particularly the Bible? Will you join in the exploration?

      $16.86

Are you seeking God’s desires for your marriage? In Jeremiah 29 verse 11, the Bible reminds us that God has a good plan for us to prosper and to have a hopeful future. This hopeful future includes our marital relationships. To benefit from this hopeful future, we need to be obedient to the “owner’s manual,” which is the Bible. We must respect husbands and love wives, be humble, be servant leaders, speak with our behaviors and not always our mouths, honor the covenant of marriage, and other things that the Scriptures clearly show us. Femi Awodele has highlighted some of the areas that the Bible gave us, including a clear path to follow in marital relationships. Owner’s Manual is designed to be practical and quick reading material for couples worldwide that genuinely seek to better their marriages.

      Lessons 1-10

      Additional Info
Isaiah’s vision of God has given hope to countless generations. His proclamations of God’s impending judgment have given the world the proper balance between God’s expansive love and His absolute holiness.

Isaiah is easily among the Bible’s most well known prophets. It was he who uttered those timeless five words that have challenged Christians throughout the centuries to yield themselves to God unreservedly: “Here am I. Send Me!” (6:8). It was he who shared God’s incredible invitation that has rung through the ages: “Come now, let us reason together…Through your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool” (1:18).

Though obviously grieved by his countrymen’s departure from the God who loved them so much, Isaiah never gave up expressing the ache of the Creator’s heart for His people to return to them, to allow them to experience His love in all its fullness.

This intriguing 10-week study explores fascinating insights into the first 39 chapters of this landmark Old Testament book and challenged all believers top take a closer look at the Heavenly Father who pursues them with a relentless love that won’t satisfied until they come home.

Was Mary Magdalene a prostitute, a female divinity figure, a church leader, or all of those? Biblical references to her are tantalizingly brief, but we do know that she was the first person to whom the risen Christ appeared-and the one commissioned to tell others the good news, earning her the ancient honorific, “Apostle to the Apostles.” Today, Mary continues to spark controversy, curiosity, and veneration. In a vivid re-creation of Mary Magdalene’s life story, Margaret George convincingly captures this renowned woman’s voice as she moves from girlhood to womanhood, becomes part of the circle of disciples, and comes to grips with the divine. Grounded in biblical scholarship and secular research, this fascinating historical novel is also, ultimately, “the diary of a soul.”

      $27.00

“Establishing the relevance of Old Testament ethics to contemporary life is, as Barton concedes, an uphill task. For many Christians today – let alone those with no religious commitment – to find some way of accommodating them into a coherent moral system by which to live in the 21st century seems at best implausible and at worst ridiculous or even immoral. However, Barton is convinced that in many areas of ethical enquiry the Old Testament has much to teach us, and he argues his case in this new edition of “”Ethics and the Old Testament””. He looks again at the Ten Commandments; the narrative about David and his children; the ethical issue of ecology; sexual morality and property; human morality as the express command of God; and the motivation for moral conduct. An additional chapter offers fresh views about the value of Old Testament ethics in discussions on human dignity. Barton’s aim is to show that although the Old Testament comes from a remote, alien and apparently unsophisticated context, the powerful minds who

It is astonishing in our day and age how difficult it has been to obtain the Gospels presented in the Aramaic Language-until now. This edition of The Aramaic Gospels and Acts finally presents the traditional Aramaic text and an English translation in an affordable manner. The oldest Aramaic translations of the original Greek Gospels were finally standardized sometime in the third or fourth century as the version known as the Peshitta. The Syriac-Aramaic Peshitta version has been regarded as the standard version ever since, and is the same text presented here in the old Estrangelo letters. The English translation is linguistically conservative yet highly readable. Students of scriptural study and interested readers alike will find this edition well worth the wait.

      $16.86

It’s funny how when we are first saved, we seem to understand clearly that we have a new conductor living inside of us-Jesus Christ. However, we often are unaware of what we are to do next. There is very little teaching on moving a person from the marriage with God to the mission of God. Why did He call you to His light now? What is your specific purpose? Where are you supposed to be in life right now? How do you fit into God’s plan? Countless converts have had a much heavier emphasis placed on not returning to where they’ve come from rather than focusing on where they’re going. God has given us five senses to use in this earthly realm. What spiritual senses has He given us? Whether you’re newly saved, newly rededicated, or newly revived, this book is for you. If you’ve lost your way since coming to Christ, then this word is also for you. God has called the authors to living in worship and prayer. If you’re ready to stop guessing, wishing, wondering, and hoping for direction in your life, then start hearing from the Lord now. It will change your life forever.

You will see the work of the Holy Spirit as the writer explains, in an understandable way, many of the unseen mysteries that have been hidden and misunderstood for centuries. As you progress through the book and the mysteries begin to open up your understanding, you will say, “I’ve never heard that before,” and “I’ve never seen that before, but I see it now.”

    • In Touch With Eternity

      $31.23

Read this book. Come with me; see for yourself. You will learn lessons that you will never forget. Regardless of your religious inclinations, you will accumulate knowledge on many subjects. At first I thought I would write for the uninformed, the non-religious. But assuredly, I also wanted to reach those bright and upwardly mobile men and women who make things happen in global environments. I see them racing through air terminals-jetting to faraway places-with small Notebook computers, hand-held cell phones, opening one deal, closing another. I also want to reach those who commute to their jobs, balancing home and family responsibilities. Many of them do not allow time for spiritual development. I wish to make contact with them. Finally I want to reach the quiet ones. Those men and women who have succeeded in their chosen fields, and now they wish to reclaim some time for spiritual development that they forfeited in the pursuit of their success. Now is the time for you to be better informed, step forward and decide on major issues. Now is the time for you to take action and make a difference in this world. You who are the descendants of the Hebrew tribes, whatever degree of faith you have must decide. And those of you who are believing Christians, whatever degree of faith you have must decide. And for those of you for whom this information is new, I pray that my writings will enlighten you in your personal spiritual journey, to help you to decide as well.

    • Textual Reasonings A Print On Demand Title

      $33.99

“Textual reasoning” is the name that a group of contemporary Jewish thinkers has given to its overlapping practices of Jewish philosophy and theology. This volume represents the most public expression to date of the shared work, over a period of twelve years, of this society of “textual reasoners.”

Although the movement of textual reasoning is diverse and multiform, it is characterized at bottom by the pursuit of the claim that there are significant affinities between Jewish forms of reading and reasoning and postmodern thought. These affinities are presently being pursued by scholars throughout Jewish studies, in fields such as the Bible, Talmud, Midrash, medieval philosophy, Kabbalah, and the Jewish phenomenology of Rosenzweig and Levinas, among others. As the essays in this book amply convey, their work has stimulated a lively and creative reengagement with the philosophical dimensions of Jewish texts and, even more, with the textual dimensions of Jewish reasoning. In large part, this new energy has come from conceiving of the postmodern as a place where some of the most distinctive features of Jewish reasoning can be elucidated as well as challenged.

A fine addition to the Radical Traditions series, Textual reasonings provides a superb review of contemporary Jewish thought.

    • Abba (Student/Study Guide)

      $16.18

The Lord’s Prayer is undoubtedly the world’s most well-known litany of petition and praise — yet it is precisely because of its familiarity that we often recite it by rote and lose the power and depth of its spiritual yearnings. In this latest installment of the popular Another Look series, Ron Lavin brings the prayer to life with a fresh approach which reminds us that Jesus was teaching his disciples (and us) how to pray and how to live. The first word of the prayer in Luke 11:1-2 — the Aramaic word Abba, loosely translated as “Daddy” — clearly indicates the true nature of the kingdom of God. Jesus’ use of this term tells us that the Ruler of the universe is not only our strong, dependable Father… but He is also a compassionate and loving Daddy with whom we can have an affectionate, intimate relationship.

Structured in eight sessions, Abba is an ideal group study resource. Each chapter is filled with humor and anecdotes, and includes questions for stimulating discussion. There are tips to assist small group leaders, along with two fascinating appendixes that share a personal viewpoint on the Lord’s Prayer.

Abba is the third title in the Another Look series on the basics of Christianity. Stories To Remember studied the parables of Jesus; I Believe; Help My Unbelief examined the Apostles’ Creed; upcoming titles will explore the Ten Commandments and the sacraments. These books are excellent for personal meditation, use with new member or adult Sunday school classes, small group studies, and sermon preparation.

    • If A Sermon Falls In The Forest

      $29.93

This fascinating volume looks at the scriptural texts concerning a pivotal New Testament theme — the resurrection of Jesus — and examines how they may be read in various interpretive communities. Shepherd analyzes each of the major New Testament writers — Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul — and places their distinctive accounts of Jesus’ resurrection in the broader context of their entire output. Through a careful study of the literary, historical, theological, anthropological, and sociological dimensions that color each writer’s picture of the resurrection, Shepherd helps readers understand the unique view each brought to bear on the life of Jesus and the faith of his followers.

But that is not all this book has to offer. Each section also includes one or more sample sermons illustrating how a preacher might treat these texts for an actual congregation. Each message is introduced with a description of its original setting and the homiletical and interpretive issues involved — so this is an excellent resource for pastors looking for stimulating Easter material or instructive preaching models.
