Coming To Awe
$19.98
Lowell Routley, Ph.D. has trained therapists who work with victims of extreme trauma in The Core Integrity Model(C) that he developed since 1988. Dr. Routley has over 40 years of experience in which he has witnessed the resilience of the human mind and spirit to heal in spite of horrific violence, torture, and mind control. His counseling skills grew through post-graduate education but he attributes his greatest learning to have come from the victims themselves. Courageous people of all ages, seeking answers to be freed from mental and spiritual bondage, demonstrate that the Creator endowed the human mind with abilities to preserve their Creator-given identity.
The Core Integrity Model(C) was applied to other areas of counseling since 2005. The foundation for this model is two-fold: first is that neurocognitive scientific research provides an understanding of how the human mind is directed by Core consciousness; second illustrates that faith in a personal Creator empowers healing. Dr. Routley finds congruence between faith and science. He claims that scientists are observing the Creator’s handiwork even though they may not acknowledge Him.
Lowell’s education in counseling began at Greenville College and continued at Southern Illinois University, University of Iowa, and Walden University. His knowledge of the Bible began as a hearing impaired child challenged to memorize verses from seven years of age. He learned over three thousand verses giving him an overview of scripture that he uses as relevant in his counseling and teaching ministry.
It is Lowell’s opinion that faith community is very important in healing and growth for every individual. A pilot study with a small group of four couples became the impetus for this series: Coming to Awe, Finding Identity. Lowell hopes that you will experience the awe that comes from knowing your Creator and who He intended you to be.

Church History In Plain Language
$39.99Over 330,000 copies sold. This is the story of the church for today’s readers.
Bruce Shelley’s classic history of the church brings the story of global Christianity into the twenty-first century. Like a skilled screenwriter, Shelley begins each chapter with three elements: characters, setting, plot. Taking readers from the early centuries of the church up through the modern era he tells his readers a story of actual people, in a particular situation, taking action or being acted upon, provides a window into the circumstances and historical context, and from there develops the story of a major period or theme of Christian history. Covering recent events, this book also:
*Details the rapid growth of evangelical and Pentecostal Christianity in the southern hemisphere*Addresses the decline in traditional mainline denominations
*Examines the influence of technology on the spread of the gospel
*Discusses how Christianity intersects with other religions in countries all over the world
For this fifth edition, Marshall Shelley brought together a team of historians, historical theologians, and editors to revise and update this father’s classic text. The new edition adds important stories of the development of Christianity in Asia, India, and Africa, both in the early church as well as in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. It also highlights the stories of women and non-Europeans who significantly influenced the development of Christianity but whose contributions are often overlooked in previous overviews of church history.
This concise book provides an easy-to-read guide to church history with intellectual substance. The new edition of Church History in Plain Language promises to set a new standard for readable church history.

Jesus Study Guide (Student/Study Guide)
$12.99In this six-session video Bible study (DVD/digital downloads sold separately), bestselling author Max Lucado explores the life and character of Jesus, helping participants become more familiar with the man at the center of the greatest story ever told. As Max explains in this study, for thirty-three years Jesus felt everything that we have ever felt: weakness, weariness, rejections. He got colds. His feelings got hurt. His feet grew tired. His head ached.
To think of Jesus in such terms almost seems irreverent. It is much easier to keep the humanity out of the incarnation. Clean up the manure from around the manger. Wipe the sweat out of his eyes. Pretend he never snored or hit his thumb with a hammer. There is something about keeping Jesus divine that keeps him distant, packaged, and predictable.
But we have to remember that by Jesus becoming human, God made it possible for us to see him and hear his voice. If we want to know what matters to God, all we need to do is look in the Bible to see what matters to Jesus. If we want to know what God is doing in our world, we need only ponder the words of Jesus. By learning more about the person Jesus was and is, we come to understand more clearly the people we were created to be.
Jesus will inspire group members to spend time at the foot of the cross and search the heart of the one who would rather die for them than live without them.
Designed for use with the Jesus Video Study (sold separately).
